Shirley L. Burns, General Manager
Since the inception of Canpro Pacific Services Inc. in 1992, Shirley has been dedicated to the development of this company. Her primary focus as the surveillance manager has involved her with literally thousands of surveillance details covering a wide range of concerns and issues.
She is well versed in the insurance industry, conducting investigations on suspected cases of insurance fraud including motor vehicle accidents, liability concerns and disability claims. Shirley has been involved with many high exposure, complex claims, assisting in and being a part of strategic defense plans in obtaining collateral evidence to minimize settlement costs.
As a manager within Canpro, Shirley is part of a team who supplies litigation support within the legal community and assists with investigating both civil and criminal matters.
Shirley is Canpro's primary contact with respect to our corporate clients who require assistance and solutions when it comes to Human Resources concerns. Including unaccountable absenteeism, theft of time, internal theft, as well as disgruntled employee issues, drug related concerns and pre-employment checks.
Maintaining a very demanding case load, Shirley continues to provide a professional product to a variety of clients within the insurance, corporate, & legal community as well as government agencies and private individuals. Responding to specific client needs, Shirley and her staff produce comprehensive and detailed reports, supported by digital documentation, and supply court testimony when required.
Her 17 years as a licensed investigator have been spent setting the standard of professionalism and integrity within the investigation industry. She is recognized as a highly respected investigator and was selected to represent her Industry on the Private Investigators and Security Act Advisory Board. As well, Shirley has been acknowledged with the President's medal for her contributions as a Director on the board of the Private Investigators Association of British Columbia. Shirley is also a member within the British Columbia Crime Prevention Association.
In her career as an Investigator, Shirley has accumulated a very large network of business associates and over the years has worked in conjunction with several different law enforcement agencies, crown counsels, and the legal community. This has provided her with an excellent working knowledge of the justice system.
Her previous employment as a federal immigration officer has complimented her role within Canpro.
